A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Allysandra but most people call me Ally. You can call me whatever you prefer! I am 19 years old and looking for a job to have income for my first apartment i’m moving into. I’m not looking for just any job though. It’s always been my goal to have a job working with kids. Ever since I was little I wanted to be a nanny from watching movies and seeing the connection a nanny could have with the kids. I do know that it’s not just like the movies though. I’ve had 4 nieces and nephews that i’ve taken care of myself in the past couple of years. I understand the hard work of changing diapers, having to get the kids calm down and do an activity, or just dealing with crazy behavior kids may have sometimes. Even though it can be hard work I would love to continue doing this for other families. I hope to spread positivity with a family and help out some parents with having more time for themselves. Thank you!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny for my 4 nieces and nephews the past couple of years. Ever since they were born so 2016 was the earliest the first was born. I have also done volunteer work at an after school center near my house. I would help the kids with homework, take them outside to do activities, and do indoor activities as well that help teach them lessons.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities that I love to do are doing crafts like clever mess free craft ideas that I have. Sometimes I like cool little science experiments to do with them. I also enjoy playing outside with the kids wether the kid wants to play on a playscape or play some kind of sport. Other fun little games that we can do that I used to enjoy as a kid are tag, hide and seek, freeze dance, etc…

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part about being a nanny is being able to build that connection with the children. I want the kids to feel comfortable and safe around me and the parents to feel that way as well. Just being able to have that connection allows it to be a fun job for me and a fun time for the kid too.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have experience with caretaking for special needs children. I am open to doing this though and will do all the research and learn everything I need to know.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had many favorite moments but what I love the most is when the kids i’ve taken care of randomly come and hug me or tell me they appreciate me. It’s so sweet when things like that happen. There’s been plenty of funny moments as well. Kids do the most random things that are so funny to me.
