A little bit about me...

Hi! Im Alyssa, I have experience with kids of all ages. I was a assistant preschool teacher my sophomore year of high school (Enrolled in a Child Development class) & I loved it! However I’m currently an assistant preschool teacher for a inhome daycare/preschool! I’m a animal lover and don’t mind if you have them! I love taking the doggies on walks to park and watching the kiddos play!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Assistant preschool teacher to 16 kids, with the help of peers.
Child Care Attendant at church for kids of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities would vary based on age of kid/s & uniqueness of the children!
I love Coloring, drawing, painting, hide & go seek with the kids! As well as playing some soccer, riding bikes, scooters & going for scavenger hunts! Children’s minds run wild and I love that about them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s not just a child or any child. It’s someone’s loved one and you are connecting with them constantly. The most important thing about being a nanny is placing emphasis on safety, responsibility and most importantly having fun!! Kids always wanna have a good time, just remember to keep the balance between school and play!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The child (3 y.o) I was caring for had severe separation anxiety. I distracted her by talking about Moana and what character was on her shirt. Then we needed up singing and watching Moana the whole night.
Another time I babysit, the baby (2.5 y.o) and I went for a walk around the block to stretch our legs for a bit. We ended up singing and dancing to baby shark the whole time. It was definitely a great way to get her jitters out, take a bath and read a story for bedtime!

I worked for a family in Arizona. I took care of two children. The reason why I stopped working for that family was because they were facing family issues and they couldn’t longer afford to pay me anymore. So I moved with my son in Honolulu and worked at a Specialty Prep Foods Kitchen for two years. Loved that job but then I faced discrimination against myself because of my language. A new supervisor had issues against me just because I’m Hispanic. So I decided to quit since the company didn’t address the issue properly.
My English is native and I’m still learning, but I don’t have a problem following orders and communicate with people.
After I left the kitchen I got a job as a nanny on December 2019 with a family that was having a second baby. I was there at the hospital to start helping with the baby right away. The family decides to move to California and offers me to go with …
