A little bit about me

I started babysitting when I was in middle school, and have had various paid and unpaid roles over the years since. Including: babysitter (all ages), kids summer school volunteer (when I was in high school), nanny, foster parent, volunteer youth leader for teens and preteens, and nursery room volunteer. I am also a mom of 3, ages 9, 11, and 13.

I do my best to be an active, creative, and intentional caregiver. I’m happy to be out in nature or inside playing games, running around and being silly or sitting for quiet activities like drawing or reading. I can cook and bake, with lots of experience in vegan alternatives. I’ll probably keep your house cleaner than mine, too. :)

Every family is different, and I take great care to honor that as thoughtfully as I can. Any trust extended to me in caring for someone’s children, pets, or home, is a gift I do not take for granted.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Learning and talking about their favorite things, and trying to incorporate that in how I spend time with them.

Read aloud, drawing/coloring, building, playing board games, puzzles, running in a straight line or around in circles, swimming, baking, cooking, hide and seek, soccer, basketball, softball, kickball, frisbee, pretend play, video games, movies, dance parties, mad lib, going for walks, checking out cool bugs, checking out cool plants, going to the library to check out cool books, sidewalk chalk, etc. I’m down for most things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having fun while prioritizing safety and responsibility. We can’t have fun if we’re not doing it safely. And we can’t make a new mess before cleaning up the current mess. :)
