A little bit about me

I am a mom of 2 and a nurse. I am in the process of switching careers and seriously thinking of childcare. I absolutely love children and although it was years ago, I do have many years of experience as a babysitter and a nanny. If I find the right family, I would love to work full time! I am energetic, fun, caring, and loving. Infants are my favorite age group, but I am willing to work with toddlers, preschoolers and school age kids as well. I am able to do light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and whatever else you may need help with to make your life a little easier. I am CPR and first aid certified, non-smoker, and love pets. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a babysitter/nanny for over 15 years and have raised 2 very well behaved children. I have also babysat my nieces/nephews. I also worked in the sibling daycare area of the ECFE program for a year in high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts/crafts, swimming, going to parks, hiking or just going for a walk, reading books, music/dancing, movies, playing games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety of course is my number 1 responsibility. Beyond that, I always get down to the child’s level and truly listen to them when they talk and make sure each child gets to choose something fun to do each day so no one feels left out or bored. Being loving and caring, but also being silly and fun is important with children!

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with ADHD, autism, developmental/speech delays, and medically complex children with diabetes, seizures, feeding tubes, and tracheostomies.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love when the parents come home and the kids get so excited to tell them everything we did that day and how fun it was and how they don’t want me to go home. It’s so sweet and so rewarding to make that impression on a child.
