I am a volunteer teacher at the Pursuit home school coop. I have also been a volunteer English teacher in 2 other countries. I have also worked with children on a voluntary basis in church nurseries as well as babysitting for friends and neighbor kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm big into the outdoors and nature. I love taking kids for picnics, hiking, sledding, and just making up games outside. Inside we play legos, story time, board game and lots more. I love doing hands-on teaching like learning to cook build small projects and clean.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me is that kids learn how to play again. I try hard to make up games and keep kids active because they are so much happier and more imaginative when they are running around outside rather than spending all day on a tablet
My experience with special needs children...
I've had a few special needs children in class but did not work with them as close as I would have liked. I'm interested in learning more about special needs and helping with that.
