I’m a loving mother of two, Jacob (21) and Lauren (19). They’re both in college, my son is in med school and my daughter is in law school. I’ve cared for children my entire life and am passionate about doing so. I believe that there is no such thing as spoiling a child with too much love and every parenting style is different and okay if it works for that family! I believe in positive reinforcement and “do as I say and not as I do” should be tossed out of the window. I have a clean background and am an EMT -Paramedic. I promise to care for your child, protect him/her/them and build a forever bond with you and your children. I still speak with all of my children whom I’ve cared for to this date!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for a child and taught her American Sign Language ( She is hearing impaired ) since she was 9 months old until she was 15 and able to care for herself. Tragically, she lost her father at 16 by a heart attack and she asked to live with me. She and my daughter now attend law school together at Baylor University.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, homework, “make believe”, arts and crafts (LOVE). Playing outside, bike riding, swimming and playground

The most important thing about being a nanny is the relationship you have with the parents and the children. It is vital to spend quality time with a child by reading to or with them and simply playing without them. Those little things mean so much to a child and healthy development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was cooking dinner for the children and I noticed that it had gotten quiet..too quiet. Experienced parents and caregivers know that this is not a good sign when there are active kids around! I turned the corner and found ALL of the just-wrapped Christmas presents opened (wrapped professionally not by me) and the super expensive wrapping paper taped to the couch, recliner, T.V., toys, etc. Upon entering the room, the kids jumped and said “ Purprize!! Merrwee Chwistmas Nander!!” I laughed ( and cried in fear of their parents firing me) and thanked them for the sweet thought. Not even two minutes later, the parents showed up early...mind you they were immaculately clean, studious parents and I was so afraid they would fire me ( i was 19 yrs old).The look on their faces told me I was in for it until the kids’ huge brown eyes sent them to the same place they always send me forgiveness). I’ve many more memories but the greatest are the ones to come!
