I have been caring for children from a very young age, however professionally I have been working with kids since I was 19.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading, drawing, dancing, and being outside is huge for me. I love doing hands-on activities and would prefer to either limit or stay away from technology/television. I love crafting, walking, water play during warmer months, making obstacle courses, using chalk / bubbles. I don't mind using basketballs, baseballs, etc and I don't shy away from bikes or roller blades etc. I'm basically a big kid in a grown ups body!
The most important part about being a nanny...
setting and establishing a clear role as a member of the village that is helping to raise your baby/babies. Role modeling the importance of connection, community, and collaboration within families, supporting mothers, and re-writing the narrative surrounding child care are all important to me as well.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children began in August of 2025. My knowledge continues to grow the more I spend time in a special education classroom. Right now my experience is mainly with middle school age children (9 yo to 13 yo)
