I have been working as a therapist for children with autism for 2 years and I am on my 3rd year of being a kindergarten teacher! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a kindergarten teacher and have been a paid babysitter for 10 years now through my neighborhood AND nanny lane! I have been working as a therapist for children with autism for 2 years now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to explore and go on new adventures! The park and the beach are my favorite places for children to get out all that crazy energy they have balled up. There are opportunities to play imaginary, get a sports game going, meet new friends, play tag, and just sit and enjoy the sun! Another great place is the house itself! There are so many things to do in the house that is capable of laughter and happy memories! Theirs pillow and blanket forts, rock band with pots and pans, insect collecting in the dirt, creating home movies, and playing house or with their favorite toys!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love seeing what children have to offer up in life to those who are willing and able to sit with them and come into their world. I believe the most important thing in life is for children to have as many positive influences in their lives as possible to help them develop and grow. I feel that this is why being a nanny is extremely important.

My experience with special needs children...

Have worked in the past at an ABA therapy facility, Cortica, that specializes in therapy for children with autism! I love the wholistic approach to helping kids with autism and being able to make a difference in their lives and helping them reach their goals each session!

Also, I have worked with special needs kiddos while I volunteered at Inland Hills Church. Before we had a special needs program, I would watch whoever came through on those Sundays.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The greatest memories I have is when the child runs up to hug me or when they become sad when I leave. It fills my heart with such joy to know that I am doing what I set out to do. That being that I am fully engaged with the kiddo(s) and giving them my all that day
