I'm a 20 year old college student, taking classes online in order to work full time. I love children, and my first few jobs were working with children ages 5 to 13 as a supervisor. My mom had my brother when I was 12 years old and to this day, I still help raise him. I am a hard worker, reliable, and flexible with last minute changes.

Hello, Tori here just your friendly neighborhood baby sitter. I am 20 years old. Energetic and outgoing. I absolutely love children! I aim to contribute my experience as a nanny/ babysitter. Flexible scheduling for clients. I live near Fairmont Elementary, Bernardo middle school, and Yorba Linda high. I have watched my nieces and nephew countless of times and still do which leads me to become very over protective.

I’m very shy at first but I come out of my shell once you get to know me better. I laugh when I get nervous Writing and reading are my passion.

Schedule: I am available at anytime until I need to watch one of or both of my nieces. The only time I request off is for when I’m babysitting my niece.

Weakness: certain smells and lots of heat causes me to lose my vision and hearing. This usually goes away within a minute or two. All I would need is a cool place and some water then I’ll be back to normal. If my black outs lasts for more than 5 minutes then please call 911.

I like to arrive earlier than expected I’m not a fan of showing up to people’s houses or school late.

Transportation: I do have a car although my parents don’t want me driving anyone around since I am a new driver.

Homework and Playtime: We all know that it’s a bit of a struggle to do homework that is why I like to combine playtime and homework so your children will enjoy learning and teach others that learning can be fun for everyone. I will gladly help your kids with homework Language arts and History are indeed my strong suit. Math is my weakest category.

Hi! I'm Jessica! I've been taking care of children as young as 2 years old for a while, and I have experience with special needs children. I have no problem with driving them to places where they need to be and cooking/cleaning and keeping them entertained. I also have experience with tutoring, so if there's any problem with school or homework, I'm there!

I started nannying and babysitting at a young age because of my large family, I was the go-to caretaker in my family. I branched out to the kids in my neighborhood and ended up becoming a camp counselor. I am now nearing up on *9* years of experience.

Within the last few year I have mainly been concentrating on spending time with my 5 year old niece and twin almost 3-year-old nephews since moving back to California from school. Before moving back to California I was going to school in Arizona and was a Nanny for 4 years for 2 different families with children ranging in age from newborn to 7 years. I also have experience working in a childcare setting as well as babysitting.

I have babysat for as long as I can remember, but the children have grown up and no longer need babysitting. I am currently still babysitting for a family consisting of a 2 year old boy and a 12 year old boy. I take care of them for hours at a time, and my work schedule is very flexible.

I have worked with children for the past 4 years in the recreational and educational settings. I have been in charge of teaching and leading classes and programs and even creating some of the curriculum! I love all ages of children because I love to see the growth and development in all stages of life. I love to be a part of a child's learning and teaching is actually a career goal of mine. I have been babysitting since I was 16 for my mother's friends, and people they have recommended me to. I have a babysat ages infant-12 years old and as many as 4 children at a time. I have babysat for all different parents of all ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and lifestyles. All of the families I have worked for have been long term on an occasional level only because of my commitment to school, I now am looking for a full time position.

Paige T.

Paige babysat my kids a few times, while I was out of town for a wedding and a date night with my husband. When we came back home, at night, the house was tidy and there were no toy messes. My kids said they watched Moana, played board games, and read books. The kids were clean and in bed before bedtime, too! She did an amazing job! - A Church Mom

Paige T.

She is super loving, and always brings a smile to my daughter. She would babysit play dates, when my child had her friends over. Paige played dress up, colored and painted, even played house and pretend kitchen. My daughter still talks about Paige today! - Rebecca

Jasmine G.

What really amazed me with Jasmine's work ethic was her way of communicating what her schedule was like and able to accommodate with things I would like her to do. My nephew really loves her and she helps him with making him food & anything he might need. Definitely recommend! - Brian

How to Find a Babysitter in Yorba Linda, CA

Nanny Lane is a child care website meant to help you find a babysitter in your area. Our child care services include background checks, PLUS, and payroll.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Yorba Linda, CA

Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.

From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Yorba Linda can impact how much you pay your babysitter.

Yorba Linda Babysitter Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a babysitter?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in California?
  • Do you have a California driver’s license? Do you own a car?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!

And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
