Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked as an assistant daycare provider at a home daycare. This was about ten years ago, and I've since been a writer for a technology company. I write part-time. I love kids and enjoy being able to help nurture and shape young minds. I am able to drive easily to your house in the winter due to my short distance, and potentially do my writing at night when the kids are asleep.

I have a B.S. degree in Journalism and communications and feel I'd be a great asset to assist with development of writing and communications skills

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Kids are so fun! Connect 4 is always a classic game. I enjoy all disney/pixar movies and love a good movie and popcorn night!

I feel listening to what children have to say provides a good insight into who they are and how to guide and nurture them. This can build a great relationship with the kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when a little boy was telling me about his parents' separation. We were at the community pool and he was standing in the water very distraught. I asked him what was wrong. He said he's seen so many families break up. He was only 9 years old, so I was taken aback by this. I helped him through the moment and advised him that everything will work out for the best. I also taught him how to float right after, and I feel that made him bond with me and trust that everything would be okay.
