A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Amanda. I really enjoy being around kids and try to bring a calm, playful energy wherever I go.

I’ve worked as a backpacking guide with teens, at sleepaway summer camps, and as a middle school social worker, so I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy chaos to big feelings and quieter moments in between. I also have my Wilderness First Aid certification, which has helped me feel confident staying steady and responsible in any situation.

When I’m with kids, I like keeping things fun and simple (arts and crafts, dress-up and imagination games, reading stories, and spending time outside running around or playing). I grew up playing soccer, so I’m always happy to get outside and be active too.

I’m also an aunt to a 2-month-old, 2-year-old, and 5-year-old, which has given me a lot of recent experience with babies and little ones.

I care a lot about kids feeling safe and being themselves. I’m also always happy to be silly along the way.
