The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a kid that told me upon greeting that he was bad and everyone thought he was bad and so would I. I told him that he wasn't bad and was going to prove it to him. I observed and learned what made him tick and things he liked. The issue wasn't that he was bad, but misunderstood and needed a lot of mobile activity and stimulation. By the end of our time together he was convinced he wasn't a bad kid and was able to express to other adults what things he would need to be more tame.
