I briefly taught in daycare. I prefer nanny. I’m better with smaller amounts of children. I started only wanting to care for one child at a time to give them my undivided attention but have learned to juggle two children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playground, Reading, Games, Puzzles, Building, Bike, Sports, Crafts, Busch Gardens, Zoo, Museum, Aquarium. I am more comfortable outside playing. I was raised by a mom that said go outside and play the house is for cleaning, relaxing and sleeping. Lol
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching them healthy habits! I’ve been a nanny for about 14 years. Many focus on keeping children happy and making them smart. That’s great but they need to be taught healthy nutrition, healthy emotional control, healthy exercise and healthy cleaning habits. Children are very happy when they are with me. I just had a little girl vacuuming with me the other day so happy. Her family does not do things with her like that at all. They don’t like to do it so think it’s not going to be something the child would enjoy but she does. Nutrition is tough but I prefer a family who shares the goal of trying proper nutrition. Outdoor exercise is essential!

I could go on for days…….. Been a nanny for too many years to pick a favorite! Kids do and say adorable things everyday that provide a forever memory to make me smile!
