Hi! I'm Amber! My family and I just moved from Destin, Florida. I have an Associate's and have worked on and off professionally in childcare for 10 years. However, I have extensive experience with special needs children and adolescents for 20+ years. I am currently in school pursuing a BA in human dev. & family studies with a major in child psychology. I also LOVE to cook! My specialties are American, French, Asian and Italian cuisines. I have also taken an interest in plant-based cooking.

creating a safe environment. A child should feel physically, emotionally and mentally safe/stable around his/her/their nanny.

very familiar with children that have been diagnosed with Autism, down-syndrome, FASD, ADHD, OCD and ODD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don't have a nanny moment yet but many teacher moments! One of my favorite is a parent and I were quietly discussing her child's use of profanity. Fortunately, the child had progress to my satisfaction however the parent was not pleased with the child's use of the "h" word still. At this moment another student yelled "oh! I know what the ' h' word is! I I've heard my daddy talk about it! Hemorrhoids!" Silly... but it got my funny bone.
