With my previous family I would spend time with their four year old every morning before pre-school started. One morning she was upset that her sleeves were riding up and told me this always happened to her when she put on a coat. I taught her how to grab onto her sleeves when she put the coat on so they would not ride up. She grabbed onto her sleeve with her hand and was so happy when she saw the end of sleeve sticking out of the coat sleeve. For multiple mornings after this she would run up to me and show me her sleeves she had grabbed onto when she put the coat on. This was a moment that made me happy because I remember personally struggling with this as a young girl and always being very bothered by it until someone taught me how to grab onto my sleeves. It’s a small moment, not a big deal, but it brought a smile to my face.
