A little bit about me

Hi,
My name is Amie and I have two grown children.
I have my BA in human services with an early childhood education concentration.

I have worked in a public school as a preschool teacher (2 years), owned and operated an in home child care program (15 years) and also worked in child care centers (2 years).

My passion is working with young children and creating fun, hands on learning experiences and play based curriculums. I love doing STEM and process art projects. I am inspired by Reggio and Montessori philosophies as well intentional play strategies - to spark the imagination and inspire curiosity to explore and learn about our world.

I also thoroughly enjoy messy play and will join in puddle jumping any chance I can get.

I am first aid and CPR certified, as well as some advanced social/emotional and trauma training. I consider myself a life long learner and enjoy attending workshops, reading books and continuing my education any chance I get.
