A little bit about me

I am seeking a position that’s roughly 24-35 hours/week, 3-4 days/wk. I have been a nanny 8 times, for kids aged newborn through 18 years for a total of 17 years; 6 1/2 years being my longest position. I have worked in centers as lead toddler and preschool teacher. I have other experience, including swim instructor with the Y, with kids 6 mo-14 years. Overall, I have over 24 years of childcare experience. I have a BS in Psychology, with an emphasis on child psych. I love being a nanny & the close bond I'm able to develop since my attention isn't divided between several children. I am much more involved in the children's lives and feel great accomplishment when they achieve their goals. I am very dedicated in all I do, and putting all my effort into one family's well-being is very rewarding. I am currently homeschooling my son (12) and would love to include him time to time, especially if I work more than 3 days/wk. I love being outside and excel at multitasking.

I love being outside. The world has so much for us to explore and learn from. I also enjoy going to parks, pools, zoos, and any adventures we can find.

The child as a whole. I will treat your child(ren) with respect and kindness. I believe respect is a two way street. I will show your child love, compassion, and be there for them in any way I can while you are away. My goal is to make your life easier and put your mind at ease. You will come home to a clean home and happy kids.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked at a facility called Possabilities with special needs people who needed extensive care. I have also had several students with learning and behavioral challenges over the years of working with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The moment a child learns something new, be it a math concept, or a color, and the look when they realize they have it—-that’s my favorite.
