I think the most important part of being a nanny is remembering every baby and kid is different. You have to be patient with each and every one as if they were your own so you can analyze them and care for them as best as you can.
My experience with special needs children...
I’m my previous experience I cared for a baby from the age of 0 months-2 years old who had autism. Once I was aware of his condition I started to do research on autism, I noticed he wasn’t talking, did not want to play with his toys, and had some aggression, I wanted to care for him and understand him as best as I could. I learned how to help him when he was mad because I knew he didn’t know how to handle his emotions as well as other babies may be able to and I also learned how to find things he would be interested in and actually enjoy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve watched a lot of kids throughout the past years rather it was a nanny job or the babies/kids in my family, I love watching all of them grow but one special memory I have is when my niece’s first word was “ti” because I would always talk to her when she was a baby, telling her to call me that. This meant so much too me and made me feel so close to her.
