In my town we do a thing called “ safety town “, where children are taught by a couple police officers about everything related to safety, how to cross the street safely, water safety, and stranger danger etc. it’s a weeklong program during the summer there are two rounds of it so for three years I volunteered at safety town for two weeks out of my summer.
I worked as a lifeguard for three years and while working as a lifeguard one of my responsibilities (One of my favorite responsibilities) was to teach children how to swim.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor: scavenger hunts, simple science labs, pillow forts, dance parties, Reading books, writing stories, shadow puppets, dress up, yoga, puppet shows, Arts and crafts (painting, crayons, paper cut outs, markers, beads etc) etc.
Outdoor (weather permitting) : scavenger hunts, sports, gardening, sidewalk chalk, backyard picnics, snowball fights, water balloons, outdoor Science labs, jump rope, hopscotch, biking etc.
Outings (permission pending): museums, parks, bike trails, pools etc.

Fostering a safe environment for the children to learn and grow, while at the same time providing parents with peace of mind knowing their children are safe and being taken good care of.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children and even adults all across the Neurodivergent spectrum. My seven year old brother is Neuro divergent and I’m aware of sensory overload issues, and have a toolbelt of coping strategies. Over the years I think I have babysat three children on the spectrum and have taught over 15 children on the neuro divergent spectrum.
