I love education activities or incorporating education in everyday fun activities. Watching and helping children reach their milestones is such an important part of our job. I love taking them to the park, museums, libraries and anything that is going to make us laugh, intrigued and keep us talking.

The most important part is twofold: you have to truly care about the child, AND, you must respect the parents as your employer.

I have experience ADHD, Autism(verbal and nonverbal), Down Syndrome, ODD, Sensory Processing Disorder and Tourette's.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Every child and moment is special. Heartstrings moment - I was a nanny for a 4yr almost completely non-verbal autistic child that said two words and the entire time I watched her but would count for me if I set out things for her to count. I started repetitively singing and playing ABC's for her and her little brother. She never noticed but I continued with ABC's, colors, shapes and other fun songs. On my last day with them, when her parents got home, she ran in the room and sang the ABC's. tears of joy.
