Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
i volunteer at my local YMCA daycare every week, i do an internship for my school called COOP, basically i go into preschool classes to help teach them. I also have little siblings, i help my mom caregiver and watch the grandkids when they come over, i am ALWAYS with the babies at parties or get together because they are my favorite part!!!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love painting and doing art things. I love playing games and being outdoors and playing fun video games and especially physical games like hide and seek and tag. I love to be active and have fun with kids in whatever activities they enjoy doing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Connecting with the children and ensuring they are safe and happy. Children require much attention and love to adapt and feel comfortable around new people and new environments.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many deaf/blind children in my life. I have a family friend whose daughter is autistic and i love her. I love to watch and take care of her and hang out with her. Next year in school i am taking a unified dance class to worked with what my school calls able children. ABLE is a kinder word for disabled. My high school was originally created for the ABLE program, they offer many many unified classes and we even have a whole ABLE spirit week in february to honor them and they do performances and they host a carnival!!
