I have been a nanny for the past 14 years for a family of four; this family also had two teenage boys who were nominally under my care at times though they never did need much other than some driving and random advice. My job these past 14 years included caring for and assisting with the raising of the newborn triplets and their brother who is 14mos older. These children all received therapy; speech, physical, and such for a few years. I was involved with all of the therapy, education, and day to day routines for all four children. I worked with them full-time from 2001 till 2007 when I switched to part-time/weekends/summer/holidays for one year to finish my bachelor's degree. In 2009 I returned to working full time. The first few years included all daily activities such as swimming lessons, all doctor's visits, sleep training, potty training,preschool...etc. I continued working for them full-time after the mother took an early retirement and we worked together. I have also been a short term nanny (about 6-8mo)for three other families as well as worked as a daycare teacher as the lead teacher of the 1yr old classroom; also was an assistant to various lead teacher while in high school at another daycare working with 1-12 year olds. I have a large family and extended family; I began babysitting my siblings, relatives and friends' children since I was 12 years old-back in the day when young girls could safely babysit in this world! I still assist with cousins, friends' children, and now nieces and nephews(one of whom has a severe type/form of Autism) so I continue to learn and gain new experience with children of all temperament and background. I am great with all types of children and I have my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education/History and an Arizona teaching certificate(7-12th grades). I am currently working on my graduate thesis to complete my Master's in the Arts at Arizona State University. I have always been patient and loving with children but I also have years of professional development and academic training. I believe all of my experiences combine to make me the best type of nanny; a nanny who knows how to teach children while supporting healthy childhood development and who also loves children.

I am currently a nanny for a 20 month old girl. The family and I have a great relationship, but my husband got offered a promotion which is taking us to the Tempe, AZ office. Jordyn and I do a lot of fun things. We go out often and are very active. We also try to stick to a routine of activities and play dates with other children, as well as daily nap time. We have grown very close to each other, and it will be hard to leave her. The family I was with before her, was for two children who were 13 months apart. I started when the oldest was 10 months old, and then the little girl was born 3 months later. I came to work every day even though the mother took maternity leave from work. I learned how to take care of a newborn. They were very special to me and I am still close with the kids and parents. I consider them to be part of my family. I cared for Cash and Landry almost 2 years. This job taught me a lot of responsibility and how to care for multiple children who are close in age. The first family I was a nanny for the children were ages two, three, and eight. We had a lot of fun together. Since these children were much older, we were able to do more crafts and games. Whereas the younger ones I would focus more on learning and developmental activities. I worked 40+ hours a week for each of these families, and we always got along well. I am looking for another great family to work with.

For 6 years, I provided in-home childcare services for one family with 4 children, aged newborn through 11, one of whom was a stroke victim with symptoms similar to cerebral palsy. Daily care included caring for infant, walking children to school, transporting them to/from swimming lessons, church school, gymnastics, zoo, movies, etc. Cooked lunch for children and performed light housekeeping duties such as cleaning kitchen after meals and washing and folding laundry. More recently, for 2 years for another family, I provided in-home childcare services for 2 children, aged newborn through 3. Daily care included caring for infant, preparing lunch, and playing, reading, and singing with 3-year old. Most recently, in 2010, I spent over a year in Texas taking care of my great-granddaughter after she was born and until she was 18 months old. Daily care included caring for her, preparing meals, and playing, reading, and singing with her while her mother was at work.
