More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Alongside my professional work, I’ve had many opportunities to care for children in real‑life, hands‑on settings. I’ve helped family and friends with childcare over the years, supporting kids of different ages with daily routines, playtime, meals, and emotional support. I’m comfortable stepping into busy households, keeping things calm and structured, and making sure children feel safe, heard, and cared for.
My background in fast‑paced, responsibility‑heavy jobs has also shaped the way I show up for kids — I’m patient, attentive, and able to stay steady even when things get chaotic. I naturally take on a nurturing role, whether that’s helping with homework, guiding kids through big feelings, or keeping them engaged with activities that match their interests and energy.
These experiences have given me a strong foundation in communication, safety awareness, and building trust with children and parents alike.

- Arts and crafts — drawing, painting, simple DIY projects, and anything that lets kids be creative
- Reading together — story time, practicing early literacy, and helping kids fall in love with books
- Learning through play — puzzles, building blocks, educational games, and hands‑on activities
- Cooking or baking simple snacks — letting kids help with safe, age‑appropriate steps
- Imaginative play — pretend games, dress‑up, building forts, and letting their imagination run wild
- Music and movement — dancing, singing, and fun energy‑burning activities
- Structured routines — helping with homework, practicing skills, and keeping a calm, predictable flow to the day

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, steady, and trusting environment where a child feels understood. Kids open up, learn, and thrive when they know the adult with them is patient, calm, and genuinely tuned in to who they are. It’s less about perfection and more about presence — showing up consistently, noticing the small things, and meeting them where they’re at emotionally and developmentally.
When a nanny can do that, everything else — routines, learning, behavior, fun — falls into place so much more naturally.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with a range of special needs, and I approach that responsibility with patience, consistency, and genuine respect for each child’s unique way of communicating and learning. I’m comfortable adapting routines, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and using calm, steady guidance to help kids feel safe and supported. I pay close attention to sensory needs, emotional cues, and the importance of predictable structure, and I work hard to create an environment where every child can succeed at their own pace.
I also understand how important teamwork is — staying in communication with parents, following established strategies, and being flexible when a child’s needs shift throughout the day. My goal is always to meet each child where they are, celebrate their strengths, and help them feel confident, understood, and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a little one I was caring for had a tough day and couldn’t quite explain what was wrong. Instead of pushing, I sat down on the floor with them and started quietly building with blocks. After a few minutes, they scooted closer, leaned against me, and started talking about everything on their mind — in that honest, unfiltered way kids do. By the end, they were laughing, showing me their “masterpiece,” and completely back to themselves.
It reminded me how important it is to slow down, meet kids where they are, and give them the space to feel safe. Those small moments of trust are what make this work so meaningful to me.
