"Angie Ball has what I call nanny skills. She combines warmth and emotional sensitivity with great organizational and management skills. She has been with our twins since they were infants. Through out that time Angie created a warm, safe and secure environment preparing them for pre school. Angie managed feeding and sleep schedules, she guided us through sleep regressions and tummy time. She is well informed and understands infant development, coming up with age appropriate activities for every stage of development. Through out her tenure. Angie continued to manage the nursery. She cleaned and organized toys and equipment and handled the laundry. She prepared meals and put things in order afterward; and she was willing to go the extra mile when needed. As toddlers Angie created a morning routine with Calendar, song and learning. Everything she did was fun, engaging and age appropriate. After our experience with her, I can highly recommend Angie Ball as a super nanny."

"Angie has watched my now 2 year son for a year. She has been excellent. She engages him in age appropriate activities and incorporates some early structured activities to help build attention and learning skills. She does a great job using movement and song to play with him daily. She has been extremely communicative and always leaves the house clean at the end of the day. We have really enjoyed having Angie care for our son and are sad to be parting ways."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done nanny shares on 2 separate occasions. The age groups were at the time (2) 4-year-old boys until the age of 5. Most recently with 3 families children's ages ranged from 1 1/2 years to 2 years old. I have experience with twins. I cared for fraternal twins from the age of 3 months to 2 1/2 years of age and still on occasions I am with them. I am able to do the children's laundry, food prep, bottle cleaning, playroom organized, take children to their extra curricular activities, playdates, adventures to the zoo, aquarium, science center, parks, etc..

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy everything possible that we can do. It can be as simple as playing at the playground. I love to join in the fun. Taking walks and discovering new things. The zoo is always a great place to visit and have a picnic lunch with the animals. the aquarium is a great day long adventure. There is always something new to see when you visit. The science center is a great hands-on adventure for the children. Crafts are always fun to do. Introducing them to new activities and watching them have fun is the best thing in the world especially when they look back at you and smile. Reding is one of my other favorites, I love to sit and read a book and allow them to use their imagination and read the book to me. It is a great way to help them develop their imagination. Singing and dancing. I love to sing to the children. I will take a song and change up the words to help them develop skills. Like the days of the week, months of the year, to the alphabet and number counting.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to love someone else's child as if they were your own. Is very important as a nanny. They look up to you to keep them safe, help them to develop and grow, to act as their parent while their parents are absent. Nurturing, and patience is also very important. Caring for a child or children is one of the hardest things anyone person can do. You are helping mold them into the person they are going to grow up to be. You only have one chance, so you want to make every moment count. I feel that is what I bring to the table.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have been so fortunate to have many special moments, but the biggest one I have had recently, has been the twins that I cared for since they were 3 months old up until 2 1/2 years of age. Recently turned 3 and I was asked to help them out for a few weeks. When I got to the home, both the children ran up to me yelling my name and hugged me so tight. I spent the day with them, and they asked me to stay the night, held my hand. They even asked me to move my house next to theirs. How adorable. I have been caring for them for a few weeks now. One of the twins still cries when I leave for the day, and I have to assure him I will see him the next day. When I go to pick them up from their pre-K program, they still run to me and hold my hand. I am told they tell their teacher multiple times a day that Miss. Angie is coming to pick me up from school. I love them dearly and always will, but the love I have for them and them to me will never die.

Kamiyah M. - Seeking Work in Parkville

Full-Time Nanny Available in Parkville, MD: Kamiyah M.

Hi, My name is Kamiyah,
I've been working with kids for about 6 years total. I started babysitting around 5 years ago, and for the last 2 years I've been in a center-based childcare setting. Through that, I've gotten hands-on experience with a wide age range, especially infants 0-12 months and kids ages 2 to 5.
With infants, I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, safe sleep, tummy time, and all the little developmental milestones. With toddlers and preschoolers, I love doing age-appropriate activities like sensory play, early learning games, and outdoor time to help them burn energy and learn through play.
I'm big on keeping routines consistent, communicating openly with parents, and making sure kids feel safe, seen, and engaged.
I'd describe myself as patient, dependable, and really proactive. I genuinely love watching kids grow and helping them hit those "firsts" — whether it's first words or learning to zip their own coat."
