My go to for fun when caring for children is always art and music activities! Working as a teacher I learned children learn better when they are having fun so interpreting music amd art into lessons was a fun and easy way to make sure they were soaking up the information in a way they would remember, not only is it always great to see them learning through fun but you also get to see their creativity and interest blossom through art based activities, they're garunteed to have something exciting to talk to their parents about
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is simply being there, as a nanny you are a big part of a child AND their parent's life, you get to experience some of the most detrimental parts of a child's life where they need the most love, comfort, reassurance, and support from all the adults in their life. I think it's important to go into this job with your heart in the right place.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism from ages birth up to schoolage as well as having experience with the proper development milestones for children of all ages. In addition to this i helped raise my sisters oldest son that has autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite thing to do is to watch children in their element when they think no one is watching, I find this the best way to really learn about the children you care for! I've watched young toddlers laughing with joy as they played together, sibling love, etc. I love to see their personalities shine and watch them grow and mature, I think it is the most rewarding part of the job
