My experience with special needs children...
I began taking online courses through DHS to learn more about providing care to children with autism and other neurodivergence,and from there I was able to gain experience working at a developmental preschool where I worked 1-1 with students with various needs ages 2-6. I am very comfortable providing sensory support,alternative communication devices,as well as trained in emotional regulation and recovery.I know sometimes the emotions can be overwhelming and sometimes support is needed through deep pressures,movement, or sensory deprivation.Every child is different and a range of tools and techniques is based upon the child’s needs and interest
