I have done a lot of volunteer work with children, whether it be workshops, tutoring after school, food drives, summer activities and clubs/programs, or just partcipating in youth programs for children from varius (usually not so great) backgrounds.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy activities such as "ring around the rosie" and playing with toys that they might enjoy. I especially like you try and use toys/games that aren't overstimulating if the child happens to be autistic or has any other special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny is patience and truly loving your job and the work that you do.
My experience with special needs children...
I currently still work with a child who is now 3 years of age and a girl. She has autism and she's sweetest child in the world. She is a lot of work and I have to help her with her sign language and eye contact but she is worth every moment of it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was the day that a child I care for (girl) who was 1 years old at the time walked for the first time. I genuinley almost cried that day and I don't know why.
