Since graduating from high school, I have worked with children at elementary schools through after-school programs and community service. I supervised activities, helped with homework, ensured safety, and communicated with parents during pick-up. I also volunteered at kindergarten programs, where I engaged young children in creative play, arts and crafts, and learning activities. I loved seeing children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment!

I have experience with arts and crafts, games (board games, card games, active play), outdoor exploration, baking simple treats, and creative projects like holiday crafts. As a Deaf individual, I have a deep understanding of and connection with children with disabilities and special needs. I've worked with children who are Deaf or hard of hearing, children with autism, children who use wheelchairs, and children with various other needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...
While I'm just beginning my professional nanny journey, I have many cherished memories from working with children in after-school programs. One moment that stands out is when several children told me I was their favorite helper. When I asked them why, they said, "Because you actually listen to us and make everything fun!"
That moment reminded me why I love working with children. I'm genuinely curious about their interests, ideas, and adventures. I love their creativity, their questions, and their unique perspectives on the world. Children can tell when someone truly cares about them, and I think that's why we connect so well.
