It was a great experience for 3 years of taking care of 2 children, a girl and a boy. First day of working with this family, she was still not born yet and he was 23 months old. When she was born I had experience of the boy's jealousy. Besides making sure that they would get every thing they need and their safty, I had to make that the boy felt that he was in charge of protecting his only one sister and he knew that everyone loved him as much as his sister. However, it took a lot of patient for me and their parents, and we did well. During the kids' development I and their parents worked together on training them both to sleep on a big boy and a big girl bed, potty train and start learning numbers and alphabets. We also adore their creativities. Besides helping them learn, I also made sure that they were having fun just like all children should have. I liked cooking and they loved what I cook. They also learned to cook with me and they loved cooking very much. At the end of every day, I also had to make sure that things were put away, the kids cloths were taken care of, the kitchen were clean and they were ready to spend sometimes with their parents before bed time if the parents were available. Finally, it was sad for me and very hard for the kids when I had to leave them. Until now we still keep our relationship. The kids and their parents love me and I also love them, we keep contact and still visiting each other when we get a chance.

Currently nannying a 4-5 month old baby girl. One of the things her mother really wanted was to establish a sleeping/eating routine. she is very pleased with how to baby has grown into a predictable (as much as possible) routine in order for the baby to start going to day care with her older brother (2 years). Mainly, my experience in childcare has been strictly babysitting but I have thoroughly enjoyed nannying this child and would love to continue on with another family. I have graduated from Catholic University of America with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with the hope to continue my education specializing in Child/Developmental Psychology. Working with children and animals has always been a passion of mine and something I really love to do. I enjoy the impression left on kids when they have a really awesome nanny/babysitter as I still remember the awesome nanny/babysitters that I had as kid. There are two things that are extremely important to me for children: a healthy diet/exercise and education. I hate TV today and miss shows like Bill Nye and Magic School Bus. Reading an actual book is becoming more and more "out of style". Education is the best way to a healthy society and it starts now with caring and nurturing children to be the best they can be with the tools available to them. If chosen to work with your family, I would love you as you are my own and strive to care for your children as you would. I follow parent rules only and am no nonsense with a lovable silly side.

Hi ! My name is Shamani I am currently a freshman at Montgomery College my major is Early Childhood Education. I take evening classes twice a week so my schedule is very flexible. I started my career as a nanny almost 5 years ago. I started working for a family of 3 boys ages 10 8 and 6 at the time I worked for them for a year until mom decided to become a stay at home mom. She introduced me into a pregnant friend of hers who was considering hiring a nanny for her new baby. I met with Mrs. and her husband and they decided to hire me. I would stop by their house twice a week to get familiar with them and as well as their house, when she gave birth to baby girl Peyton I would come over every day and assist her during her maternity leave that way she wasn't on her feet as much and Peyton and I could get acquainted. Peyton and I grew built a bond that no one could break over the 3 years, later that 3rd year Mrs. got pregnant again and gave birth to baby boy Kevin and the same routine was done again for her first 6 weeks. Shortly, before Kevin turned 1 I wanted to see if working at a daycare was best suitable for me because I am going to school to become a teacher and working in a daycare setting I am able to work with a larger group of children like I would do in a school setting, I found a summer position as a teachers assistant I fell in love with the center as well as the children It was a sad day once my toddler class left for pre school that was also my last day too. I was always welcomed to return back but due to the Mr. new job offer in Pennsylvania I was not ready to relocate which was an option So now I am looking for a new loving family to work for.

have worked with children of all ages from newborn through teenage. I started working with infants (premies) at the young age of 16 and have continued working with children since. I have been with my current family for 2+ years caring for their 8 month old daughter who is currently 3 years old. Due to her starting school in the fall the family will no longer require full time care. I will provide a stable, loving and healthy environment for your children. I do not just put children in front of the tv as I prefer to interact with them and watch them learn and grow. I will encourage their love of learning with fun activities. I enjoy getting out and about with the children taking them to the park, on walks, to the museums, classes and other age appropriate activities. I am a good cook and will ensure your children have healthy and well balanced meals. I'm also an experienced driver with an excellent driving record and can transport your child to and from school/activities as needed. I'm happy to do some light housekeeping as it pertains to the children (their laundry, helping them keep their areas tidy, dishes, etc.) I am comfortable doing light house manager duties such as shopping for the children's needs, accepting deliveries and overseeing repairmen. I am committed to doing my job well and am always happy to talk with parents about any concerns they may have. I have excellent references I would be happy to provide and I'm willing to undergo a background check. If you have any questions or if you are interested in speaking further I'd be happy to hear from you. Thanks for your time, and good luck to you in your search!
