If we're playing outdoors, I love playing with bubbles or sidewalk chalk. If it's great weather, water tables are always a fun time!
If it's a gloomy day, I'll pull out the coloring books or do some reading with the child(ren). With older children, I like to work on simple math or reading/writing.

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is multitasking. I say this because there are many aspects of being a good nanny. Not only is it important to make sure the child is always safe and happy, but also that you're being respectful of the parents way of parenting. Being consistent is very important for children and their development. It's also important to be timely, clean, and always attentive.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with special needs children for 5 years at my church. We did different sensory activities and had a wheelchair accessible playground that we used.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny was watching the children grow up. My longest family that I was with, I started when she was 2 months old. She just turned 4. It was amazing watching her grow up and develop into her own personality. At the time, she was in foster care. A month ago, the adoption finally went through after 4 years. Having that happen for the family was an answer to many prayers!
