More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked in various settings with kiddos aged newborn to pre-teen over the years. From daycares to homestays abroad and from recreational programs to summer camps, I've come to find my favorite childcare setting is in the home where there is space for one-on-one bonding and growth. Most recently I worked as a homestead manager in Lilburn for 1.5 years, providing childcare for an infant and a 10yo while also keeping the house tidy, preparing meals, working in the garden, and caring for the farm animals.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Imaginative play, creative expression, crafting, nature exploration, and skills-building tasks/games are the bulk of the activities I incorporate into childcare. Activities themselves are always developmentally/age appropriate. For example, when I was caring for 4 and 9 year old siblings, we would frequently go on nature walks - with the 4 year old we would spot certain colors in nature and with the 9 year old we would identify flora and fauna. The older child and I played card games or worked on the comic he was creating when the younger one was napping. And we would all work together in the kitchen to make smoothies and bake cookies.
