Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoors, I love teaching kids how to play board and card games, reading with them, or just playing with their toys. I also enjoy doing craft activities with them.

Outside, I love playing games with them like Monkey in the Middle, Hopscotch, Tag, basketball, badminton, etc. Going to the local playground is always fun for everyone too! I have no problem with running around with the kids so they can get all their energy out and have fun doing it!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing to me in child care or in children's education, is that every child know that they are loved, and that they deserve happiness. My hope in being a nanny and an educator is that I can help each child to have a happy life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have limited experience with special needs children, however, I have volunteered at Special Olympics and the Washington Center Day Special Olympics multiple times. I have learned many strategies for the classroom environment through my Elementary Education bachelor's courses. I also assisted my parents in being a caretaker to my bed-bound grandfather as a teenager.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was from when I babysat my neighbor's child between [phone number hidden]. They had two dogs that would run to the window and bark anytime somebody passed, which would scare their 3 year old son. I started asking him whenever they ran to the window "What are those silly doggies doing? Silly doggies!" He stopped being scared and started wanting to look out the window with the dogs! It got to the point that whenever the dogs ran to the window, their son would too, and he would pretend to be a "silly doggie!"
