One day I was babysitting for a family with a 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl and their 7 year old cousin, love them to pieces, but we went to a local fair and while we were there it began to rain cats and dogs like torrential downpour. well, the 5 year old happens to be scared of rain and we walked there. So, we began the trek home in this flooded fairground while i carried 5 year old Jack along with 3 inflatable toys, sparkly purses, and a newly won goldfish…. I felt so so awful for them and a little discouraged as a babysitter but we ended the night with a bubble bath, mcdonald’s, pizza, and a movie and they told me that i was the best babysitter they ever had. literal tears. children can be so sweet.
