In high school I looked after special ed children. We’d read books, do hands-on activities, and express our creativity through art! Growing up there was always a baby on the way, I adored dressing them up, making their faces light up, and cuddling them right to sleep.

I love to color, I have many coloring books and various coloring mediums. I enjoy painting with them, depending on their age group we’ll decide what method is best! Kids are so full of life and their imagination is wide, whatever they like to do, I love it!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is caring for the children. Being there for the parent, for their needs as well. I believe children grow up to be the people they were surrounded with growing up. These are the most important moments of their lives and they need to be loved and cared for, emotionally and physically during these times.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time, I was watching after a young boy who is nonverbal, he’s never said a word to me, and he does not have a wide variety of sounds to make. We were playing like usual and while we were playing with legos, I signed my hand for “mom”, since we were introducing him to sign language. His mother walks in, he stands up and exclaims “mama” her and I share tears as we witnessed his first word at 2 years old.
