A little bit about me

I know that patience is the way to go with children. I am currently a college student at Fresno State. I am the eldest of 4 siblings and part of my responsibility was to care for them. Not only do I have work experience with children but I also have lived with many younger children my entire life. This included having the house cleaned, helping them with their work, and playing... because every child needs to play. I would be extremely cooperating with interviews and don't mind having busy schedules to fit the children's needs.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of parents friends children from 4 month olds to 9 year olds and my own siblings ranging from when they were 8- 14. I would go with the parents on weekend meeting trips (work related) and take care of the kids in the hotel.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to draw, sing, dance, and write with children. It is also fun to make outdoor games with them if parents agree so and teaching them to explore. Dependent on the age range, activities will differ.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is helping the parents, I do consider myself a helper. Both parents (or single) need a break at times, to sit back and recover energy. Most if not the majority work hard for their kids. They want to make sure that when they are not home the kids are safe. Kids also need to learn to socialize and trust with others. I like that to be my place, a simple helper.

My experience with special needs children...

I took a course in high school where we needed to assist our special needs children during junior year. I am willing to accommodate and learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I use to take care of this 1 year old girl, who wouldn't accept the bottle so I had to spoon feed her the milk. As she got older she would blow on the spoon pretending it was hot just to go "ahh ahh" and pretend it was super hot. It was adorable!
