More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked in child development services my entire adult life. I was a teacher for DayPrep Educational Therapy where I would provide 1-to-1 instruction for all subjects for students. Develop an individualized learning plan for student. Yield social/emotional coaching, as well as executive functioning skill development, into instruction as appropriate.
I've personally assisted families with busy schedules, working with up to three kids at a time and assisted in balancing childrens behavior and perception.
I grew up babysitting babies as young as 12 years old, taking on side jobs each weekend as a young teen up until late high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm a great cook and love to teach kids to branch out and experiment with foods and anything art related. I love to swim, dance, play, paint, study, exercise, and sing with children. I love to teach kids to believe in themselves and to never give up, but most import I like to create an honest space between me and children to allow them to more clearly appreciate relationships and communication.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating relationships and trust with children. Making sure they're happy, and if not, figure out why. Lifting children up to believe in themselves and understand their infinite abilities. Teaching respect, integrity and the importance of communication and honesty.
My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with children with ADHD, ADD, and bipolar disorder.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would often encourage my two girls at the time to be kind to others and notice the good in people so they were very used to me showing them with nice things like how wonderful they are. We would often sing together and I would sometimes take the lead. Eventually, instead of just a smile and giggle from the girls, they began to say encouraging things to me about my singing such as "I can't wait to hear you sing on the tv one day", "you're going to be famous". Even if it was far fetched, It would warm my heart to notice that the children were beginning to take my advice and use it to brighten my day. Moments like this were encouraging not only to my dreams to be an artist and role model but more so encouraging to see the reflection of your own encouragement in such young children.
