A little bit about me

I have been looking for a family to help nearby. I have about 10 years experience. Starting young by babysitting, then caregiving for my grandmother and then became a nanny!! I am reliable, I Hope to share my time with a family in need of my experience asap! I was raised in Buffalo Grove. Graduating from Stevenson High School. I'm an artist and love the outdoors. I like to see when kids get creative hands on and like to keep them off their tablets and away from their TV as mush as possible! I do think a ton of things outline my over-all personality. I totally agree with doing as much reading as possible. As well as the children spending time outdoors. I have a decent amount of experience with children. I have two younger brothers that I spend a great deal of time with. Otherwise, I've spent time with all ages and enjoy the time I've spent with these children. I like to help others and assisting children is something that has always interested me.

In addition to watching my girls she took care of them and my home for 3 months!!!!! 3 months She stayed in my home while I was out of state for work training. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mom has a 4 year old with special needs and a 7 year old. I'm 27. I've definitely enjoyed helping her and learned a ton well also watching them grow. I've had lots of experience with children of all ages. And when your blood it changes everything. I went from once staying with my mom spending every second entertaining or explaining those beautifulquestions to screaming and shoes thrown at me well I'm driving, lol Now living on my own visiting often and video chatting constantly.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love swimming and hanging out in the back yard. Games like hide and seek, duck duck goose, flash cards, Simon says, peek-a-boo. Explore nature, visit museums, Planetarium, kinda like field trips. Many I always have great ideas I'm also very creative. I was a live painter for years and earned many awards.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being there for the children and communicating with the parents but mostly the children. This help provide the reassurance that the family and nanny are meeting the children's needs. There should be no room to be shy when communicating. Listening and understanding a child as well as them feeling comfortable to open and freely speak to you not just as their nanny but as their friend too.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 2 little brothers 4 and 7 years old. My youngest little brother is special needs as well as many other children I have spent a ton of time with over the years. I am open to answer any questions as too the type of special needs. Thank you.
