A little bit about me

Hello!! My name is Ariel Ingersoll. I am 20 years old and currently a junior studying Psych and Communication at UMass Amherst. In my free time, I like to read, go to the the gym, go to the mall with my friends, and cook! I absolutely love all animals as well and would have a million dogs if it was possible. I live in an apartment right outside of Amherst and have my own car. I am up to date with every vaccine including the Flu and three Covid shots. I've been babysitting different families since I was 15 years old and love it so much. I have babysat all ages, from 1 year old to 12 years old. My goal when taking care of kids is to make sure they are never bored, engaged, and having the best time ever. I am a very outgoing person which helps me get to know the kids better and make sure they are comfortable while having fun at the same time. I look forward to getting to know you and your kids!!

I was a camp counselor for fifteen 7 year old girls at a day camp in 2016 and 2017.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love all activities!! Reading, drawing, painting, science experiments, playing with dolls and legos, and more!! I also love going to the park, going on walks, and in general doing any activity that is outdoorsy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that having loads of patience is very critical. Making sure the environment is comfortable, safe, and fun for the kids is also very important to me. I also think teaching new things to the kids and trying to get them to be active is an important aspect as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I had to move back to college and had to say bye to the two little girls I regularly babysat. They made a card and a necklace for me to wish me goodbye. I cried for hours!!!
