A little bit about me

I am a dependable, non-smoking adult who is an empty-nester (my son is 26). I am a Certified Nursing Assistant. and recently renewed my Infant/child CPR training. I worked as a Nanny for a 4 month old and a 2 1/2 year old, taking them to the Library, or the park, or go for a walk; read to them,... I have also cared for my elderly, handicapped Mother who lived with us for over 5 years until she passed away. I have worked in the schools for over 10 years, both in elementary and high school, as a teacher assistant, including as a Reading Discovery Instructor to 1st graders. I love being outdoors; enjoy playing games, doing crafts such as: needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing (including mending); along with baking. Music is a big part of my life - I play the piano and I sing in the choir. We used to belong to a book club when our son was little, so reading was also a big part of our lives. .
