More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience caring for my two nephews and niece as they grew up, providing consistent support with daily routines, playtime, meals, and homework. One of the children is on the autism spectrum, which has given me valuable experience in adapting communication styles, creating calm and structured environments, and using patience and understanding to meet their unique needs. Through this, I’ve developed strong skills in behavior support, emotional regulation, and building trust. My role also included supervising safe activities, planning engaging and age-appropriate games, and maintaining a warm, reliable presence the kids could depend on. This hands-on experience has strengthened my communication, problem-solving, and caregiving abilities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts & Crafts: Coloring, painting, making friendship bracelets, creating simple DIY projects, or seasonal crafts like paper snowflakes or autumn leaf art.
Outdoor Play: Going for walks, blowing bubbles, chalk drawing, playing tag, nature scavenger hunts, or simple ball games.
Reading Time: Reading picture books, storytime with voices, or helping kids pick out books that match their interests.
Educational Games: Puzzles, matching games, flashcards, counting or alphabet activities, learning shapes and colors.
Music & Movement: Singing songs, dancing, kids’ karaoke, freeze dance, or simple rhythm games using claps and tapping.
Baking or Snack Making: Making simple, safe recipes like fruit kabobs, sandwiches, cookies (with supervision), or decorating cupcakes.
Imaginative Play: Building with blocks, playing pretend (teacher, store, superheroes), dolls, or creating mini stories together.
Quiet Activities: Legos, sensory bins, Play-Doh, board games, or mindfulness activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, understood, and cared for. It’s about building trust—both with the child and the family—and showing up every day with patience, responsibility, and genuine kindness. A great nanny understands each child’s personality, needs, and emotions, and works to help them grow, learn, and feel confident. It’s not just about supervising, but being a positive influence, a role model, and someone the child can rely on for comfort, consistency, and encouragement.
My experience with special needs children...
I have meaningful hands-on experience caring for my nephew, who has speech-related autism. Through this role, I’ve learned how to communicate in patient, supportive ways that match his needs, including using simple language, visual cues, gestures, and giving him extra time to respond. I help encourage his speech development by practicing words, naming objects during activities, and engaging in conversations at his pace. I also create calm, structured routines to help him feel comfortable and confident while we work on communication skills. My experience includes assisting with emotional regulation, guiding him through sensory-friendly activities, and celebrating his progress—no matter how small. This has strengthened my ability to provide individualized care, stay patient in challenging moments, and support children with unique communication needs in a respectful and encouraging way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny is simply being surrounded by children and knowing I’m making a positive impact in their day. I love those small, meaningful moments—when a child finally understands something I’ve been helping them with, when they run up to me excited to show me something new, or when they feel comfortable enough to open up and just be themselves. Being able to guide them, support them, and make their day a little easier or happier reminds me why I enjoy caregiving so much. It’s not just one moment, but the feeling of being trusted, appreciated, and knowing that the help I give truly makes a difference in their growth and happiness.
