More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have nannied professionally on and off for years. I also have two years of experience as a Montessori assistant teacher. I spent one year in the toddler classroom, and another year in the early childhood environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing anything arts and crafts related. I also love going on walks, exploring nature, having fun at the park, splash-pad, museum, zoo, et cetera. I also love those (rare) quiet afternoons of resting and relaxation. Basically, I enjoy doing just about everything!
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny is protecting, honoring, and advocating for the children under your care. The way I see it, that is precisely what a nanny’s role is at its core. Underneath all the meal prep, carting kiddos from one extracurricular to another, helping with homework, sleep training, potty training, et cetera, there is a duty to protect and nurture.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have not provided one-on-one care to a special needs child, I have had a few in my classes during my time as an assistant teacher. I would say I am comfortable with providing one-on-one care to special needs children on a case-by-case basis, as I would never want to take on a position I am not properly trained and equipped for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be watching one of the kids I used to care for turn three years old. He was just five months old when I first became his nanny; I watched him experience so many firsts and hit so many milestones, from crawling to walking to running to talking! To witness him open his presents and thank his family and friends and celebrate with pure joy was one of the most incredible and rewarding moments of my life. Knowing I played a part in his growth and blossoming is such a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

Hi! I’m Rae, and I’ve spent the last six years working in daycare settings as a lead teacher with children of various ages.
I have experience creating engaging activities, developing lesson plans, and supporting children with a wide range of emotional, physical, and developmental needs. My approach is patient, fun, and tailored to each child’s unique personality and interests.
While my personal style includes facial piercings, families quickly discover that I’m warm, dependable, and passionate about what I do. My goal is to build strong relationships with the families I work with and create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and make lasting memories.
