Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a swim coach for the past two years. I grew up swimming on the swim team and loved it so much they asked me to help coach in the summers. Because of this I am CPR,First Aid, and AED trained!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love coloring and doing arts and crafts. Some of my favorites are paper plate animals, making homemade play dough, rock painting, and homemade ornaments! I also like adding in a little bit of reading time where the kids can pick their favorite book and we can read for about 15-30 minutes. I also love going outside to play. I love drawing on the sidewalk and playing hopscotch. I am also a pro at making flower crowns!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to be is connecting with the kids. When you’re little you look up to the “big kids” and it’s important that they have a good role model to look up to. Even though I’m there to look after them and help with task around the house I want them to know I am someone the parents and the kids can always count on! Whether that be if they need help on their homework, someone to play with, or someone to talk to. I love creating a fun, safe, and warm environment!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite memories I had with the family I last nannied for was baking. We loved to make cookies and brownies. They were so yummy! Another good memory was when we turned the living room into a spy room. We got yarn and made lasers all around the room pretending like we were spys.
