Hello. My name is Ashley. I have over 16 years of childcare experience from babysitting to being a nanny, substitute teaching within a local school district and working at a child care facility. Caring for and helping others is what I thrive for. I have experience with ages newborn - 13 years of age . I have experience with multiples, large families and special needs as well. I am CPR and first aid certified and I have a clean background. I have references available upon request. To keep kids engaged I love to read to/with children, dance, sing(try to), play outside and I am a huge fan of board games. I am creative, patient, kind, trustworthy and have a genuine love for kids. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since I was 9. I have worked with children my whole adult life as well. I have worked in my church nursery, worked in a local day care, substitute taught in a local school system as well as babysat and have been a nanny for numerous families over the years. I have travelled and gone on vacation with numerous families and I have been a night nanny for a quite a few families. I also babysit for weddings and big parties or events.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing inside with hands on or educational toys and using our imaginations and creative play. I also enjoy having a dance party or singing with “ Alexa” on the tops of our lungs. I enjoy playing hide and seek or building forts or doing arts and crafts. I love to read to it with children. The possibilities are endless. I love to play with available outside toys or go forward walks or to the park if allowed. I am a very good swimmer and often take children swimming or to the splash pad if allowed. It all depends on the age of the child. If newborn to a year cuddling, reading, walks, tummy time and soft lullabies seem to be enjoyed by most. If toddler, lots of singing, dancing and playing whether building or dress up or imaginative play seen to be the go to. Each child is different and unique and I like to participate in whichever activities they enjoy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for premature newborns as well as children with Autism, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Sensory processing disorder, Dyslexia and Diabetes

The most important part about being a nanny...

Well how do I choose just one favorite moment?
I watched for a family that was in Ga for a year from Korea who had a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy and they both spoke very little English. One night after bedtime stories as I was tucking the 2 year old in he said “ I love you EMO ( which means Aunt in Korean) Ashley. You are my best friend”. It melted my heart that he was able to say that in English.
