A little bit about me

My name is Ashley. I am primarily a stay-at-home Mom to my nearly 1 year old son! I opened myself up for day care/nanny services in March of 2022. Since then, I have cared for another boy the same age as my son, two days a week from my home.

I am looking to fill my schedule a bit more by taking on another family. I am open to various opportunities so please don't hesitate to contact me. My past childcare experience includes; three years working at an in-home daycare (providing care to children 12 weeks-12 years), a nanny for a family with 3 children (1 infant, 1 toddler, 1 school-age), and many years as a youth dance instructor (ages ranging pre-school to high school).

I am very active and enjoy to stay busy. When caring for your children you can expect I will be attentive and fill the day with age appropriate activities and play. Weather permitting, we love to spend time outside exploring! If care is held at my home, we have a very nice, large and private backyard just for that!

Generally, I like to engage children in age appropriate activities fit for their development. However, for all children I enjoy leading activities involving music making/listening and movement. I enjoy getting children outside to explore; go to the park/walks. I enjoy looking/reading books with children. We will certainly spend time with general play time as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing about being a nanny is safety for the children. Being a nanny also requires patience and gentleness. It is necessary to be attentive and not distracted when caring for children.
