A little bit about me

Hi I’m Ashley! I’m an experienced childcare provider with over 3 years of babysitting experience. I’ve worked with children as young as 9 months all the way up to 14 years old. I love creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where kids can learn, grow, and express themselves. I have a creative mind and always find ways to keep children thinking, exploring, and using their imagination. I’m very dedicated to helping children learn and am always happy to assist with homework, as I strongly prioritize education. As an aspiring Speech Therapist I am trying to build my resume with child care experience. I’m willing to use my car as a reliable source of transportation such as school pickups or other extracurricular activities. When finding a family to work with I am interested in getting to know a child’s needs and expectations when starting the job! I am looking forward to connecting :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My most recent job over the summer was nannying for a family with a 9-month-old, 2-year-old, and 3-year-old. That experience taught me how to adapt to different ages and personalities, communicate clearly, and gently guide children with patience and care.
I have also cared weekly for two brothers, ages 3 and 5, for the past year and an half until their family moved away, which is why I am looking for a new family to work with.
I have volunteering experience with children that have special needs as I have been apart of the best buddies program. When volunteering, I helped children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build social and emotional skills. That experience taught me deeper patience, empathy, and how to tailor communication to each child’s unique needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite activities with children include creative projects like arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, and educational games that build problem-solving and communication skills. I also enjoy incorporating music, imaginative play, and learning activities to keep each day fun and meaningful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is helping children grow into kind, respectful, and confident individuals by instilling good morals and values in them every day. I believe nannying carries far more influence than many people realize. Children are like sponges, soaking up everything they see and hear, so the care and guidance you provide can truly shape who they become. Having a kind, patient, and positive caregiver can make all the difference in helping them grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. For me, nannying is a very big responsibility because you’re helping shape who they are becoming.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a bit of volunteering experience with autistic children ages 10+

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was doing arts and crafts with the 3- and 5-year-old siblings I cared for this summer. It reminded me how meaningful it is to inspire creativity and help children express themselves in fun, hands-on ways. It made me realize that children are so creative and love to express themselves through art!

I am, and continue to work hard to be, a dedicated, nurturing, and experienced childcare provider. Within my six years of working with children (through Sunday school/summer camp teaching, babysitting, and full time nannying) I am passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment. I am attentive and knowledgeable on the differences between age groups and their needs. I am greatly suitable for caring for groups of children, as I have been put in leadership positions. Along with my previous jobs, my high school education (Graduated May of 2025) and determination to maintain a 3.5+ GPA all four years points to my toolbag of skills I have accumulated.
