Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have also been an assistant teacher for daycares, led children learning groups and tours through my fire department as well as premed classes. There was also a point in time where I volunteered for a church daycare.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Mostly I just enjoy engaging with the children and forming a bond. Learning new things together and enriching their education is something I enjoy as well. I have a lot of skills and many hobbies I love to get them interested in as well to build confidence, problem solving skills, self audience and individuality. Each child deserves an experience tailored to their needs and interest!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is having compassion and empathy. To be able to truly care for a child and their feelings is so important in an developing individual. Without those important qualities emotional and physical growth can be stunted. You have to be caring and understanding when dealing with these amazing little humans.
My experience with special needs children...
I have nannied for children with special needs in the past. These children have had challenges from developmental, medical and physical conditions. I also worked in an environment where I cared for the chronically ill of all ages including but not limited to children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment will always be when the bonds begin to form with the children, it can be a little complicated at first as you start to get to know they family however as you spend time together and caring for them, the bond always comes through and makes everything flow just a little smoother.
