A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Aubrey. I am 26 and a Nashville native. I have been babysitting for 10 years, worked as a dance teacher, and I am currently doing behavioral therapy with children who have autism. In this position I work on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors while eliminating problem behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, elopement, and picky eating...I also have a degree in social work, and had the opportunity to work with children with muscular dystrophy while earning my degree...When working with children I think it’s important to respect their autonomy and give them room to feel and express their feelings with listing ears and understanding. I feel that giving the child respect creates a mutual respectful relationship.... I also love art and cooking and love sharing these passions with the children I work with.
