Hello there

I'm Aubrie. I'm a mom, a teacher, and a nanny. When I come into a family's home I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, a joyful, creative heart, and two little playmates! I truly love teaching and spending quality time with kids.

I have my Bachelors in Early Childhood Bilingual Education and am a certified teacher with 6 years of professional teaching experience and 11 years of childcare experience, with 5 years as a nanny/mother's helper for several lovely families. And I’m a mom to two sweet kiddos.

I love participating in a family's village to help care for the whole child. I relish the creativity involved in meeting children's social and emotional needs, and modeling kind and clear communication.

I’m looking for a part/full time position. I'm open to a nanny share, as well as homework help, pick ups, drop offs, light housekeeping, and pets. I love to travel, read, dance, metalsmith, and spend time in all kinds of nature! I look forward to hearing from you!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Doing anything outside is my favorite of all the activities with kids as I usually fund kids regulate super well during even a small amount of time outside and regate super well after extended time outside. I like to go on walks, go to parks, explore the neighborhood, observe seasonal weather and nature, water play in the right weather, go puddle jumping, get in rain suits in the rain, and so many more activities outside!

Inside, the kiddos and I are usually building obstacle courses, safe structures for climbing, reading for fun and for regulation, learning to cook, and getting creative with pretend play and whatever their favorite toys are. I love art as well and can implement that anywhere, even outside!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety in all the ways - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. Making sure my nanny kiddos feel safe in their environment, and whenever there are moments of insecurity or potential lack of safety, there is discussion to regain a sense of safety. Conversation about our experiences is important to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to bring my daughter with me to my job every day and being outside with my nanny kiddos and my own kiddos and watching them explore together. I treasure beautiful slow moments like those when all is peaceful and the kids are playing so sweetly together.
