A little bit about me

Hello! :) My name is Audra Miller, and I am 20 years old, living in Longmeadow, Massachusettes. I'm about to start my Junior year at Worcester State University in the fall and plan to graduate in 2025. I'm taking several education classes and have worked with many different groups of children since I started college. I am also an "auntie" to my best friends' two children, which has given me useful hands-on experience. I adore working with children and have finally made the decision to babysit/ nanny. I have the skills and capabilities to do anything you need me to do, whether it's with the kids or around the house. I have a license and car and have no problems picking up, dropping off, or running errands. I have a fun, energetic, and positive attitude as well as, experience with children. I just want to relieve the amount of work and stress on the family I work for. In order to ensure that both the parents and kids are as safe and happy as can be. :)

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

-Several summer camps/ summer volunteer help to watch children
-Clemente Children's Group Teacher Aide (worked with children ages 3-12, in an educational and artistic environment from October 2021- June 2022)
-CLEW's Volunteer Group (Went to Harlem New York in April 2022 and worked with children from ages 8-12 on their individual skills in academic but fun ways)
-Jumpstart Kids Program (I worked with early 4 year olds, and I was required to set up a lesson as well as activities to do with the kids. I was able to get a feel for the classroom environment very early on and learned the requirements to make a lesson/ the time it takes to prepare for them)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm a very energetic person so really any activity the child would like to do. Whether its reading a favorite book, playing a board game, playing with barbies, or running outside playing tag, or playing catch. I’m also a very artistic and musical person, so anything like singing/ dancing to music or drawing/ making crafts. I want to make sure the child is having fun but it also being responsible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is making sure I'm doing everything possible for the kids to be happy, as well as the parents.

I used to work with special needs children during the school year and have been chosen specifically to care for a special needs child during the summer.
