I worked at Bright Side Children’s center where I cared for children aged 0-12. I supervised play, nap time, created crafts and activities, played with them, assisted in changing diapers, feeding, making snack, and helped older children with homework and learning goals!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Outdoor activities I think me and the children could love to share together would be, riding bikes, walking on park trails, playing at a play ground, swimming when age and skill appropriate, playing games such as tag and hide n seek, and using side walk chalk!
Indoor activities could include playing age appropriate imagination based games with home toys, involving older children in things like meal preparation, doing arts and crafts activities, having dance parties, and very occasionally allowing for “screen time” under guidance and rules of the parents!

The most important trait a nanny needs is the ability to be an authority while also being a good friend! Being able to play with the children in your care is vital!

From working at a hospital, I have experience with running feeding tubes, taking blood sugars and providing insulin, giving oxygen, caring for Ostomy sites, caring for catheters, caring for rectal tubes, caring for Tracheostomies, and providing comfort care.

When working at Brightside I got the experience of working with the most adorable set of sisters, one 7 the younger one almost 2. One day my 7 year old comes in for before school care and tells me she made her mom glue a photo of her little sister into her binder so that she could “she her face every time she missed her” cutest thing ever!!
